Who we help
Adults & Older Adults
Our work is not just for children. We support adults and older adults across communication, voice, swallowing and everyday living — in clinic, at home, or by telehealth.
Speech pathology for adults
- Communication after stroke or with a neurological condition (aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, cognitive-communication changes)
- Voice — hoarseness, vocal fatigue, and voice changes with Parkinson’s (SPEAK OUT!)
- Swallowing (dysphagia) — safe eating and drinking, and mealtime management
- Stuttering and communication confidence
Occupational therapy for adults
- Daily living — self-care, cooking, getting around the home and community
- Falls risk, home safety and access
- Equipment and assistive technology assessments
- Home modification assessments, minor and complex
- Functional capacity assessments for NDIS planning
How it is funded
Depending on your age and situation, adult services may be supported through NDIS, a Home Care Package, Medicare care plans, private health cover, or private paying. If you are not sure what applies, call and we will talk it through.
