Kindy / School Visits

When sessions work better in the classroom, we come to your child’s early learning centre or school and work alongside their educators.

Why sessions at kindy or school help

Skills learned in a therapy room do not always transfer to the places a child spends their day. Seeing your child in their own classroom lets us watch what actually gets in the way — the noise, the routine, the group — and build strategies that fit that setting.

What a visit involves

  • With your consent, we observe your child in class and at play
  • The session runs in a familiar space, often with a friend or two included
  • We meet briefly with the teacher or aide to share what to try and watch for
  • We leave written, classroom-ready strategies so support continues every day

Working with the school

We coordinate with the teaching team and, where relevant, contribute to a child’s support plan or NCCD documentation. Visits are arranged around the school’s timetable and usually happen fortnightly or monthly alongside any clinic or telehealth sessions.

Common Questions

Still not sure? Call the clinic on 0493 719 759 and we'll talk it through.

Which areas do you visit?

Early learning centres and schools across greater Brisbane, working out from the Forest Lake and Coorparoo clinics. Ask when you call and we will confirm for your centre or school.

Does the school have to agree?

Yes — we need the school’s permission and your written consent before visiting. Most schools welcome it; we can help start that conversation.

Is a school visit more expensive?

Travel time may be charged in line with the relevant fee schedule (for NDIS clients, the NDIS provider travel rules). We will tell you the cost before booking.
