Questions & answers

The Things Families Ask Us Most

Referrals, funding, ages, telehealth and how sessions run.

Do I need a referral?

No referral is needed to book privately. A referral is required for Medicare-funded sessions and is useful for NDIS planning.

Can we use NDIS funding?

Yes — self-managed, plan-managed and agency-managed plans are all welcome, and we write reports for plan reviews.

How young is too young?

We see children from around 9 months. Early support is usually shorter and simpler than waiting to see whether a delay resolves.

Do you see adults?

Yes. We work with clients from around 9 months to 90+ years across both speech pathology and occupational therapy.

Can therapy happen at kindy or school?

Often, yes. We visit early learning centres and schools across greater Brisbane and hand over strategies to educators.

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes. Secure video sessions suit regional families, parent coaching and quick reviews, with the same therapist you would see in clinic.

How long is a session?

Most therapy sessions run for 45 to 60 minutes. Assessments are longer and are quoted individually.

Which clinic should I choose?

Pick whichever of Forest Lake or Coorparoo is easier for your week. You can switch between them by letting reception know.
